In just 2 years, fiery saxophone-drum duo Binker & Moses have won a loyal following for their intense, hypnotic live show, culminating in late 2016 with a UK tour with American trio The Bad Plus.
Their debut album "Dem Ones" was recorded live in Mark Ronson's Zelig Studio for Gearbox Records and won the coveted MOBO award for Best Jazz Act, also seeing them named as both Breakthrough Act & Jazz Act of The Year at the 2016 Jazz FM Awards.
Binker & Moses will be releasing their highly anticipated 2nd album Journey to the Mountain of Forever in Spring 2017.
Like it's predecessor, the new album was recorded completely live, direct to a 1960's Studer C37 1/4" tape machine at the Gearbox Records studio – and the sessions resulted in more than 5 hours of music!
Journey to the Mountain of Forever is a story album. Travel with Binker & Moses from "the realm of the now" to "the realm of the infinite" meeting along the way Shamans, the great Besbunu, the Ultra Blacks & various other tribes, monsters & characters whilst immersing yourself in their strange rituals, potions, music & a world which has no end. But, beware of the Jahvmonishi plant!
