Maximilian DiBenedetto is very excited to be performing at the Rochester International Jazz Festival this year. Originally from the Buffalo area, Max is an accomplished musician who is proficient in vibraphone, piano, percussion, synthesizer, and drum kit. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music/Business from Nazareth College, where he studied percussion and keyboard under Professors Kristen Shiner-McGuire, Brad Batz, and Joshua Massicot. Max has performed in various music groups in the past, including the Nazareth College Jazz and Chamber Percussion Ensembles, the Kutztown University Marimba Orchestra, and most recently, the Nate Rawls Community Jazz Band in the city. In addition to his raw talent and ability to memorize and play music by ear, Max is also known for hard work ethic and outgoing personality. Currently, he resides in Rush with his family and, in his spare time, enjoys composing & improvising music, reading books, exploring the outdoors, fashion design, and spending quality time with family and friends. Finally, Max thanks everyone, especially his parents and teachers, for their dedication & support, and for always believing in his dreams. Hope you enjoy the show!
